Love Your Football Club · Effective 2026

1. The Agreement

By completing your club registration form and submitting payment you are entering into a formal service agreement with Love Your Football Club (LYFC) and its technology partner Piston Design. This agreement governs the delivery, hosting, and ongoing support of your club's digital platform. These terms should be read alongside your chosen membership plan description and the Service Level Agreement (SLA) provided at the point of registration.

2. Membership Plans

LYFC offers three membership tiers — Grassroots (£50 per month), Grassroots+ (£75 per month), and GrassrootsPRO (£100 per month). Each tier includes a defined set of features and support levels as described on the LYFC membership page at loveyourfootballclub.co.uk. By selecting a plan you confirm that you have read and understood what is included at your chosen tier. LYFC reserves the right to adjust pricing with a minimum of 30 days written notice to existing members.

3. Minimum Term & Commitment

All club memberships are subject to a minimum 24-month term from the date of site activation. This minimum term reflects the investment made by LYFC and Piston Design in building, populating, and deploying your club platform. Early termination within the minimum term does not entitle the club to a refund of fees paid and any outstanding fees for the remainder of the term may become due. Following the minimum term membership continues on a rolling monthly basis and may be cancelled with 30 days written notice.

4. Payment & Billing

Monthly membership fees are collected automatically via Stripe on the same date each month from the date of your first payment. It is the club's responsibility to ensure that valid payment details are maintained at all times. In the event of a failed payment LYFC will notify the club by email and allow a 7-day grace period before access to the platform is suspended. Continued non-payment beyond 14 days may result in termination of the club's account and removal of the club site.

5. Site Build & Delivery

Following receipt of a completed club registration form and all required assets, Piston Design will begin the site build process. An estimated go-live date will be agreed between both parties within 2 working days of registration. LYFC and Piston Design will make every reasonable effort to meet the agreed timeline, however delivery is subject to the timely provision of all required content, branding assets, and approvals by the club. Delays caused by incomplete or late submission of assets by the club do not constitute a breach of the SLA by LYFC or Piston Design.

6. Club Responsibilities

The club is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up to date information at the point of registration and throughout the membership term. This includes club branding assets, player information, sponsor details, and any content to be published on the club site. The club is responsible for ensuring that all content submitted to LYFC is lawful, accurate, and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. The club is responsible for the conduct of its designated admin users and must notify LYFC immediately if an admin user's access needs to be revoked.

7. Platform Access & Admin Users

Admin users are granted access to the club's CMS to manage and update site content. The number of admin users permitted is determined by the membership tier selected. Admin access is personal to the named user and must not be shared. LYFC and Piston Design reserve the right to suspend admin access in the event of misuse, security concerns, or breach of these terms. Admin training is provided by Piston Design as part of the onboarding process and covers all core CMS functions.

8. Hosting, Uptime & Support

LYFC and Piston Design will use all reasonable endeavours to maintain platform uptime and performance in accordance with the SLA. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Support is provided via the channels defined by the club's membership tier — email support for Grassroots, chat and email for Grassroots+, and chat, email, and phone for GrassrootsPRO. Support requests are handled during normal business hours Monday to Friday. LYFC and Piston Design are not liable for downtime or service interruptions caused by third party infrastructure, force majeure events, or circumstances outside of their reasonable control.

9. Keep Attacking Partnership

Where a club opts into the Keep Attacking kit and merchandise partnership, separate terms and conditions apply as set out by Keep Attacking at the point of ordering. LYFC facilitates the introduction and integration of the Keep Attacking catalogue into the club shop but is not responsible for the fulfilment, quality, or delivery of any physical products ordered through Keep Attacking. Any disputes relating to kit or merchandise orders should be directed to Keep Attacking directly.

10. Player Data & GDPR

The club is the data controller for all player personal data submitted via the LYFC platform including registration details, emergency contacts, images, and playing information. LYFC and Piston Design act as data processors on behalf of the club. Both parties agree to handle all personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The club is responsible for obtaining valid consent from players for the collection and use of their personal data and for ensuring that any image or media consent is documented and held on record. Player data will not be shared with any third party outside of the LYFC platform without the explicit consent of the club.

11. Intellectual Property

All website designs, templates, code, and platform infrastructure built and maintained by Piston Design remain the intellectual property of Piston Design. Club-specific content including logos, photography, player information, and written copy remains the intellectual property of the respective club. Upon termination of membership the club retains the right to export and use its own content. LYFC and Piston Design retain the right to use club sites as portfolio references and case studies unless the club requests otherwise in writing.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice following the expiry of the minimum 24-month term. LYFC reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately and without notice in the event of: non-payment beyond 14 days of a failed payment, material breach of these terms, misuse of the platform, or conduct deemed harmful to the reputation of LYFC or Piston Design. Upon termination the club site will be taken offline and admin access revoked. Any data held by LYFC on behalf of the club will be retained for 30 days following termination to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LYFC and Piston Design shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of or inability to use the platform. Total liability in any event shall not exceed the total fees paid by the club in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

LYFC reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Clubs will be notified of material changes by email with a minimum of 30 days notice. Continued use of the platform following the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
